Studio Encore provides dance education and festival training for dancers of all skill levels. Students of all ages can learn the foundations of dance or train for competition at the highest level. A new online portal is becoming available for the 2021 dance season, launching soon.
This class is design specifically for the two year old's which includes a very shy three year old students. An introductory level dance class that incorporates parent participation to assist in the comfort of the young child. This half hour class focusses on introducing toddlers to movement and music to playful activities. Program is available in 10 or 20 weeks session.

Explore the world of dance and music on a journey to the land of make-believe. Activities include creative dance where children explore characters, making up their own fairytale fantasy. Children will learn kinaesthetic awareness as well as learning to use space around them. Program is available in 10 or 20 weeks session.

A program perfect for the more active child, who need to keep moving. This class will focus on the creative dance movement as well as basic gymnastic skills, such as tumbling, balancing which will help improve coordination. This is an excellent beginner program that gives a young child a wide variety of movement in ballet, tap and jazz, while at the same time, keeping their minds interested. Program is available in 30 weeks session.

Ballet is an exciting, exhilarating, inspiring art form, that teaches children the beauty of dance and movement. This discipline instills good posture, grace, and self-discipline to promote a healthy lifestyle. Classes are offered to children ages five years and up, beginners to professional levels. Our studio teaches the Vaganova technique, ABT taught by certified dance instructors.
Students training and jazz and lyrical forms of dance are encouraged to take ballet classes in conjunction with their chosen dance styles. Ballet will help to develop a strong technical dancer.
Jazz is the most popular dance discipline children choose. In the jazz program our students will be kept abreast with the newest and hottest trends in jazz dancing. Jazz is a fast paced, powerful and dynamic dance style that will develop flexibility, muscular tone and strength. Jazz is an extension of ballet which will enhance the dancers ability.
Tap dancing is a very popular and stylish form of dance. This dance discipline develops coordination, concentration and a good sense of rhythm. The students feet will learn to act like an instrument with the floor, performing different combinations with music. Students who are musicality inclined generally love to tap dance. After your child has mastered the basic tap steps there’s no stopping them!
A fun class for dancer’s 5 years and over. A style that is performed to primarily Hip Hop music, that has evolved as a part of Hip Hop culture. It is a great class, as it allows the student freedom of movement and personality.
Lyrical dance is a combination of jazz and ballet technique that portrays an emotion or story based on feeling and style. Dancers must be registered in full competitive ballet and jazz technique classes. Emphasis is on sustained movement and improvisations. This class adds a new dimension to the students’ training.
Highland dancing is a very powerful and grateful form of dance, best known for it’s intricate foot work and lively spirited music. In this discipline, you will learn many traditional and national dances, such as the Highland Fling, Sword Dance, Irish Jig and Sailors Hornpipe. These dances have been carried down through the centuries. Students will also be challenged with choreography to favourite Gaelic music. Competitive dancing is a very big part of the history of Highland Dance and it still very popular among today’s highland dancers. Studio Encore follows the SDTA syllabus and can offer dance exams and SOBHD competitions for their students.
This class is preparing the students for Triple Threat – Singing, Acting & Dancing! The class works on singing and acting technique and choreographs it with dance steps. Students will be placed in classes based on dance experience and age. It is recommended to accompany this class with a jazz or ballet class.
