Meet Studio Encore

Since 1985 a highland dance school was established in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and has grown over 37 years to a studio that offers a full range of programs in dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, acro, musical theatre, contemporary and highland dance. We also specialize in preschool dance programs and make them fun for the little ones. We offer programs starting at 2 years old to adult, and from beginner to professional levels. All our programs are internationally recognized and our students have competed in regional, provincial and international competitions successfully.

Meet our team

Our philosophy is simple — to provide high level dance classes to not only children, but adults alike in a socially aware environment. We believe by focusing on the arts, it helps to enhance the lives of individuals, that draws in the community promoting its cultural diversity. We do strive to guide our dancers through a technically proficient program and encourage all our dancers to perform competitively in order to challenge and gauge their own progress. This brings out their leadership, raises their self esteem and promotes team building skills. The main overriding focus is always “To have fun with dance”!

Danielle

Owner/Director/Instructor

Danielle had trained in all areas of dance for the last 25 years, and has been teaching for 13 years. She has won many awards and scholarships including 1st place in the Dance Championships in Alberta for her Hip hop Solo and won a full scholarship to the Rocky Mountain House Summer Program for her performance. She has second to none the most incredible performing abilities and has won countless awards as a dancer.

Jennifer

Owner/Director/Instructor

Jennifer Parsons has been training in dance for over 30 years, and teaching dance for over 18 years. She has studied numerous styles of dancing over the years including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, Highland, Irish, Irish step, African and Salsa Dancing. Jennifer has auditioned for the provincial Dare 2 Dance Company, as well as Disney Tokyo. She was successfully accepted in both auditions.

Diane

Founder/Instructor

Diane Laidler is the founder and of Studio Encore Dance Centre. Diane has been teaching children for 35+ years. She teaches the preschool programs as well as the highland dance program. Diane is a professional member of Scotdance Canada and holds a teachers certificate in the S.D.T.A. (Scottish Dance Teacher's Alliance). She teaches all traditional highland and national dances at all levels from primary to premier.

Miranda

Instructor

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Miranda started dancing at a young age; starting at Annett’s School of Dance and training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip-hop and highland, soon moving to Lloydminster to finish her high school dance career at Studio Encore. Upon finishing high school, Miranda continued her training through the Sandra Gary School of Dance and later to Shelley’s Dance Company in Edmonton Alberta.

Jayla

Instructor

Jayla started dancing at the age of 3 with Leader School of Dance. In the 15 years with LSOD, she attended many competitions and workshops in Calgary, Saskatoon and Vancouver. Jayla has had the opportunity to work with industry names such as Moe Brody, Liz Tookey, Carlo Atienza and Joanne Pesusich. She also completed many exams including ADAPT Intermediate 3 Tap and Jazz, RAD Grade 8 Ballet, CDTA Advanced Ballet and Tap, and is an Associate member of the CDTA in the Stage - Tap division.

Ryan

Instructor

“Miss Ryan” Wilson has over 30 years dance education and half of that (18 years) has been offering classes to adults, teens, and children in Vermilion and the surrounding areas. She believes that dance enhances the lives of youth through teaching awareness and self-discipline as well as it creates opportunities for children and challenges them to grow through life experiences.

Brynn

Instructor

Brynn Renton is a dedicated and detail-oriented instructor whose passion for dance and teaching shines in every class she leads. A proud graduate of the Studio Encore Elite Program, Brynn has experienced the discipline, commitment, and artistry that define our highest level of training—skills she now passes on to her own students.

In addition to her dance background, Brynn holds a Bachelor of Education, bringing professional teaching expertise to the studio environment. Her meticulous approach ensures students receive precise technical instruction while feeling supported and inspired to achieve their personal best.

Brynn’s unique blend of elite-level dance training and formal education makes her a valued member of our team. She is committed to fostering not only strong dancers but also confident, disciplined, and creative individuals.

Dylan Bulgin

Hip-Hop Instructor

Dylan Bulgin is a dynamic and inspiring hip-hop specialist whose energy and passion light up the studio. A graduate of the Studio Encore Elite Dance Company, Dylan brings years of high-level training, performance experience, and dedication to his craft.

Known for his upbeat personality and approachable teaching style, Dylan has a natural connection with kids—making every class fun, engaging, and motivating. His ability to break down hip-hop technique in a way that’s both accessible and exciting helps students grow in skill, confidence, and performance quality.

Whether he’s teaching foundational grooves or high-energy choreography, Dylan creates an encouraging environment where students feel empowered to express themselves through movement. His blend of professional training and genuine care for his dancers makes him a valued and unforgettable member of the Studio Encore team.

Jill Smith

Choreographer & Instructor

Jill Smith has been a cornerstone of Studio Encore since she first stepped through our doors at just three years old. Over the years, she has grown from a talented young dancer into one of our most influential and visionary instructors. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Jill has played a pivotal role in shaping the high calibre of excellence our studio is known for today.

Renowned for her creativity, Jill has a remarkable gift for developing award-winning choreography that inspires both her students and audiences. Her innovative concepts, attention to detail, and deep understanding of performance have led to countless accolades for our dancers at competitions.

Beyond her artistic achievements, Jill is a dedicated mentor who instills passion, discipline, and confidence in every student she teaches. Her long-standing commitment, unmatched creativity, and leadership make her not just a valued instructor, but a true pillar of Studio Encore’s success.
